about
Side A:
"Getchya Hip Thrust"
A hard driving dance number, recorded in Brooklyn, NY with producer Eric Ambel at the helm. This track features Carley Wolf's signature slide guitar work, and is a perfect evolutionary compliment to their 2011 debut EP, "In Ya Neck!". Their performance here shows them developing into a heavier, meatier sound than heard on their previous release. This is especially audible during the mid-song break down, where drummer Jonny Wolf lays down a lead-footed groove as Carley weaves sitar/guitar lead lines and sings lyrics dripping with sexual power.
Side AA:
"Black Crow"
BP Fallon: Irish. Rock & Roll Sage. Guru to some of the most influential musicians of our time. Worked at Apple Records for The Beatles, where his main role was to test Paul McCartney's weed. Publicist to Led Zeppelin during their heyday in the 70's, touring with them around the world. Mimed guitar with John Lennon on Top of The Pops. DJ and photographer for U2 on their legendary World Zoo Tour - performing for 1.8 million people. Author of three best selling books - words and photography. Cut his first record as a singer only a few years ago, at the behest of Jack White, who produced it and released it on his label, Third Man Records. No spring chicken, this creature has traversed rainbows.

The Ghost Wolves: The ever-effervescent man & wife, guitar & drum duo - Jonny, Carley and Winter, their wolf. Man, Woman, Beast - delivering a Texas sized serving of stomp-blues-punk with a sneer. Their exhilarating live show, explosive DIY records, and die-hard touring work ethic make them one of the most exciting new acts to come out of Austin in the last two years.
The Collaboration: "Black Crow & The Crocodile"
A spontaneous late night recording session in January, arranged by a dear mutual friend, Stephen Ceresia. The tape didn't start rolling till well past midnight, the lights dimmed low, the vibe just right. Carley and Jonny set the tempo - a dark, driving swamp-surf beat, on a song they'd written called "Black Crow". BP, a master wordsmith, crafted his lines on the spot:
"She's got the alligator smile, she's got the jukebox tan, she's got the rattle snake shake, made a mess of this man..."
BP, with all the incredible years of history behind him - but now, in 2013, looking nowhere but forward with his music. Taking risks - diving in head first, destination unknown - jamming it out with a young band from Austin, Texas who he had simply taken a shine to.
